Dr. Frankel

Dr. Frankel graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1986 and he then went on to work at Addington Hospital in Durban, South Africa. This is one of the largest hospitals in South Africa and is a tertiary referral hospital for the province of KwaZulu-Natal.

He worked in the Department of General Surgery which included Pediatric Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery and Vascular Surgery. He also worked in the Department of Hematology, the Department of Oncology and the Department of Internal Medicine.

He subsequently worked as a medical officer at Addington Hospital in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, the Department of Oncology and the Department of Pediatrics.

Dr. Frankel has also worked as a consultant in Industrial Medicine to a number of factories in South Africa where he would advise management and workers on health-related issues.

He came to Canada in 1990 where he initially worked as a General Practitioner in Northern Manitoba. It was here that he gained much useful experience in rural medicine in the northern reaches of Canada. He moved to Vancouver in 1991 and at first worked as a Clinical Assistant in Pediatric Oncology at the BC Children's Hospital.

Since 1992, Dr. Frankel has worked as a General Practitioner in Cloverdale. Dr. Frankel also works at the Canadian Men's Clinic in Vancouver and the Medisys Corporate Health Clinic, also located in Vancouver.

In addition, he has over 5 years experience with Botox injections and which are now being used very effectively in cosmetic medicine and he is a medically certified provider of Botox injection therapy.
