Dr. Andrew Cheng

Dr. Andrew Cheng graduated from the University of Alberta School of Dentistry in 1989. Along with the Cloverdale Crossing Medical Dental Centre, he has established several offices including the Fairmont Dental Group in Vancouver, and the Highlands Dental Clinic in Squamish. Presently, his particular area of interest is in general restorative and cosmetic dentistry with emphasis on single visit ceramic crowns and fillings with the CEREC 3D method.

Dr. Cheng is a past member of the academy of computerized dentistry, academy of laser dentistry and international congress of oral implantology. He has over 12 years of experience with the CEREC method and dental lasers. Presently, he is a participant of Dr. Ira Sy's implant study club.

Dr. Andrew Willoughby, DMD

Dr. Willoughby (49) is one of the most progressive cosmetic reconstructive dentists in the country and is recognized by his peers as an extremely talented and gifted clinician. Andrew is a business advisor, consultant, and industry analyst to the Health care industry. Andrew has been a certified lecturer with both the American Dental Association and the American Dental Hygienist Association and is also a published author and consults with major dental manufacturers on the development of new dental products.

Andrew holds four (4) validly issued US Patents in the area of dental implantology – all of which have been successfully licensed to an International Dental Implant Company called ITI Straumann. Dr. Willoughby has extensive clinical experience when it comes to the surgical placement and prosthetic reconstruction of various dental implant systems including the Zimmer, Nobelbiocare and ITI Straumann CAD/CAM Abutment systems. Andrew started placing dental implants in 1991 and today (with more than 20 years experience) is considered a leading authority in the prosthetic placement of multiple dental implant systems.

Dr. Willoughby also has considerable expertise in the manufacturing and development of innovative new health care products and in the licensing and technology transfer of related intellectual property. Several of the products used in our office (and in patients mouths including the Straumann Octa TS Abutment system) were developed by Andrew Willoughby. Dr. Andrew Willoughby co-owns and operates an extremely busy satellite practice in Prince George, B.C. where, ten days per month, his focus is on helping patients with complicated cosmetic reconstructions involving a combination of teeth and dental implants. When Andrew is not in Prince George he is available by appointment on Mondays and Tuesdays at Cloverdale Crossing Dental Clinic.

Andrew Graduated U. of Manitoba in 1988 with awards in Crown & Bridge and Operative Dentistry. During his graduating year Andrew broke virtually every clinical record that stood. Dr. Willoughby is an active member of the Canadian Dental Association and a duly licensed member of the College of dental Surgeons of British Columbia. Dr. WIlloughby is currently attending advanced dental training courses in Nueromuscular Dentistry at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental studies.

Vanja Gasic - Registered Dental Hygienist 

Vanja has been with Cloverdale Crossing Dental Office for two years, first as CDA and now as Registered Dental Hygienist. She truly enjoys being part of this wonderfull team as well as working in such progressive dental office that ecourages staff to challenge themselves in their respective positions.

Vanja's passion for her career comes from her strong belief that dental hygiene is an integral part of maintaining overall health. Her emphasis is on client assessment and dental care modification based on individual preference and needs.

She is fluent in Serbian, Croatian and English languages, as well as taking German studies at Simon Fraser University in the evenings. On weekends, she works for nonprofit organization supporting individuals with various developmental and physical disabilities and in her free time, she practices yoga, plays volleyball and shops for unique perfume bottles.

Cerra - Certified Dental Assistant

I graduated from the Certified Dental Assisting program at Vancouver Community College in 2002. I started in the program with zero dental knowledge or experience and graduated with a new found passion for working with and helping people. I quickly jumped into a fulltime position in a prestigious office in Richmond, doing a lot of temp work on my days off. I have always enjoyed building a rapport and relationships with the patients, and had an especially great time working with kids. Serena - Office Manager

Serena brings over 13 years of office management and patient coordinating to our office. Serena attended the University of Winnipeg and Camosun Collage in Victoria. She has attended continuing education courses for Cerec, Invisalign, Advanced Cosmetic Dentistry and much more. She really enjoys meeting new patients and helping them through the process to their beautiful smile. Serena spends most of her spare time riding her horse, relaxing at Bikrams Yoga and travelling to sunny places.
